We believe the local church is God's primary vehicle for global mission. Citylight is committed to raising up, sending out, and supporting missionaries and mission teams who carry the gospel to unreached and underserved communities.
Our missions trips are designed to serve alongside local partners, build lasting relationships, and share the hope of Jesus through word and deed. Whether it's serving in a neighboring state or crossing an ocean, we go because He first came to us.
Every trip is an opportunity for our church family to grow in faith, develop a heart for the nations, and see God at work beyond our own community. We return changed—with a deeper understanding of the global church and a renewed passion for the Great Commission.

How We Serve
From short-term trips to long-term partnerships, there are many ways to be part of what God is doing.
Short-Term Trips
We organize missions trips throughout the year to serve communities both domestically and internationally. These trips range from a weekend to two weeks and are open to all ages and experience levels.
Mission Partners
We partner with trusted organizations and church planters around the world. These long-term relationships allow us to invest deeply in specific communities and see sustained gospel impact.
Prayer & Support
Not every missionary boards a plane. We mobilize our church to pray for the nations, support missionaries financially, and stay connected with our partners through regular updates.
Practical Service
Our teams serve in tangible ways—construction projects, medical clinics, children's programs, and community development. We meet physical needs as an expression of Christ's love.
Gospel Proclamation
At the heart of every trip is the proclamation of the gospel. We share the good news of Jesus through Bible studies, evangelism, discipleship training, and leadership development.
Local Missions
Mission starts at home. We also serve communities across Southwest Iowa and the surrounding region, partnering with local organizations to love our neighbors and share the gospel.
